Privacy Policy
Sivak.io ("we," "us," "Brian Sivak") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
When you submit our contact form, register for a workshop, or book a call, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, company name
- Your area of interest, team size, and any message you provide
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers)
- Limited technical data: a hashed/anonymized record of your connection and browser, used for security and to reduce spam
We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) that do not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up about our services and workshops
- To deliver and administer workshops and engagements you purchase
- To send you transactional emails (confirmations, reminders) and, with your consent, occasional updates
- To meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations
3. Consent
By submitting a form on this site you consent to us collecting and using your information as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights" below). Marketing emails comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and include a one-click unsubscribe.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, under their own privacy obligations:
- Airtable — to store and manage inquiries (our CRM)
- Stripe — to process payments securely
- Resend — to send transactional and (with consent) marketing email
- Cal.com — to schedule calls
- Railway / Cloudflare — to host and serve the website
Some of these providers may process or store data outside Canada (e.g., the United States or EU). We take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection, but information stored abroad may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws.
5. How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit access to what's necessary and keep our systems current.
6. Retention
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g., tax records). You may request deletion at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Your rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent and request deletion (subject to legal limits)
- Ask how your information is used and disclosed
To exercise any of these, email bsivak@thebehargroup.com. We respond within 30 days.
8. AI assistance disclosure
We use AI tools in our work and in preparing materials. Where we process your information with AI, a human reviews outputs before they're acted on, and we do not upload confidential client information to public AI tools without appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
